We started our day by sharing what we did over the long weekend, and then taking some time to do some spring cleaning of our desks. We had lots of "feuilles sauvages" that needed to be put in the correct duotangs!
Our school nurse, Nurse Jennifer, came to our class to do a presentation on Canada's New Food Guide. We played basketball games outside for Phys. Ed. In Science we learned how to make "un anemomètre " to measure wind speed using "un rapporteur" (a protractor), "une balle de tennis de table", "de la ficelle"(string) and "du ruban" (tape). We took them outside to test them out, and we will test them again on a windier day! We had a period to work on reading or incomplete work. In Math we worked independently to show Mme what we know about comparing and ordering decimals. Ask me how come you can not just count the digits to compare two decimal numbers? Reminders: Students should make sure that their Social Studies project is shared with Mme in Google Drive today. Students who will be going to Branton in the fall need to return their field trip forms for our Mat 1st visit to Branton. We are in need of a parent volunteer to join us on this trip. If your police clearance is up to date and you are able to join us please email Mme April at [email protected]
